FieldConnect launches enhanced versions of FieldAccessTM, FieldDirectTM, FieldLocatorTM and FieldTimeTM

New updates significantly enhance feature sets and set new standard for field service mobilization

Irvine, Calif., September 25, 2008 FieldConnect, a leading provider of field service mobilization solutions, today announced the availability of the latest versions of their field service mobilization suite of software. Each solution has undergone a significant upgrade in infrastructure and functionality in order to deliver better performance, greater customize-ability, more functionality, and easier installation and administration.

Specific features of version 3.0 include:
  • New architecture: The entire suite of products has been re-architected using the Microsoft .Net platform. All of the core functionality along with any custom features has been incorporated into database driven tables allowing for easier deployment of future enhancements and custom development as well as facilitating greater security, privacy and scalability.

  • Streamlined Installation: Wizard driven installers for all products facilitate installation within minutes as all information is collected during the setup process and there is no need for edits to additional files or settings.

  • Enhanced Administration: Setup and configuration can now be completed in less than one hour with the addition of system-wide settings and database-driven options used to turn specific features on or off based on user role. Individual technicians may have multiple device options including PDA, smart phones (running Windows Mobile®, Palm®, iPhone®), and Blackberry as well as laptops or tablet PCs.

  • New Workflow and Features: Numerous customer-driven features and workflow processes have been added to further the usability in specific environments requiring signature capture, RMA and expense management as well as both real-time connectivity and offline device support.
